The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is an immigration program designed by the province of Ontario, Canada, to attract skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and investors. Through the OINP, Ontario can nominate applicants who meet the criteria for federal permanent residency to address the province's economic and labor market needs.

The OINP consists of three main categories and eight streams:

1. Employer Job Offer Streams

Suitable for applicants who already have a job offer from an employer in Ontario, including the following subcategories:

• Foreign Worker Stream: Targets foreign workers with work experience who have received a permanent, full-time job offer from an employer in Ontario.

• International Student Stream: Designed for recent graduates with an eligible job offer from an employer in Ontario.

• In-Demand Skills Stream: Targets workers in high-demand occupations, such as agriculture, construction, and personal support workers.
   

2. Human Capital Priority Streams

Designed for highly skilled workers with the skills and experience required in Ontario.

• Express Entry Streams:

  • Human Capital Priorities Stream: For candidates in the Express Entry system with skills in demand in Ontario.

  • French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream: For candidates fluent in French who meet the criteria for Express Entry.

  • Skilled Trades Stream: For candidates registered in Express Entry who work in specific skilled trades in Ontario.

 

3. Masters and PhD Graduate Streams

Targets individuals who have obtained a master’s or PhD degree in Ontario.

• Masters Graduate Stream: For international students who have completed a master’s degree in Ontario and meet other eligibility requirements.

• PhD Graduate Stream: For international students who have completed a PhD program in Ontario.
